Are expensive eye creams worth the extra money?

Skincare experts recognise that the ingredients in an eye cream do not differ significantly from the ingredients in a face cream. If it’s good enough for your face, it should be good enough for your eye area. After all, the eye area is on our faces!

For some people however, the skin around their eyes is different to the rest of their face. This difference in moisture levels means their face cream won’t satisfy the needs of the skin around their eyes.

If your eye area is drier than the rest of the skin on your face, you will need a richer formulated cream for that area. This cream doesn’t need to be an eye cream. Provided it sufficiently nourishes the area, a face cream will do the trick. It’s a fraction of the cost of an eye cream – for a larger quantity.
