Tints for everyone

Posted by on Nov 26, 2008

It’s not very often that I recommend a tinted sunscreen, especially for girls of colour. For the most part, the sunscreen is usually acceptable. It’s the tint that lets the formula down. Sometimes tints can include pink undertones, leaving olive toned girls looking grey. Sometimes the tints are added simply to mask the whiteness of the sunscreen formula – this hardly ever works. And worse still, sometimes tints change colour during the day. Disastrous!

The Invisible Zinc Tinted Daywear (in medium) is not one of these. The undertone is unmistakably yellow, and there is no white film at all. This is a rarity when zinc oxide is the active ingredient and yet an absolute necessity for olive toned girls.

While caucasian skin tones are often spoilt for choice with tinted sunscreen, the Invisible Zinc Tinted Daywear (in light) is one worth trying for you too. Apart from the tint, the coverage is similar to that of a foundation and at sunscreen prices!
